We have often wondered based on our experience how it was possible that at his previous agency, you-know-who was the top-selling agent in the Denver metro area last year. Well a reader on our other blog who is in the biz explained it like this:
“For those of you not “in the industry”, Kentwood has built their business on heavily recruiting the #1 agent and #1 team from competing companies/offices each year. This is their way of breeding successful offices. Unfortunately, the most questionable Realtors will always make a killing their first few years in the business because nobody will have caught on to them yet. Karl was a rising star because he had not messed with a tech savvy client yet. I am sure that you are not the first to be burned by Karl, but certainly the smartest (and most resourceful!)
Experience is everything in this business. It does not matter if your agent is #1 in their office, or if they are with the #1 company locally, always look for a consistent producer, not the guy that magically has a year that is off the charts, because he probably doesn’t have the time management to help you.”

Ah-ha! So that explains it. Well then hopefully Karl Lueders won’t have the chance to to burn many more unsuspecting clients.
I just spent some time following several links to “All Things Karl” ….Lord, what an EGO this guy has….and how many websites touting how wonderful he thinks he is….master snowboarder…..renowned journalist….getting a book deal…traveling to Europe…..he gave it all up for his love of real estate….yea…suuuuure…..UGH…..what a fake…anyway, I digress…..
I was mostly interested in seeing how many listings he had. One site had “featured listings” and of course, it had ALL the company listings….but many websites will do that, especially the corporate ones….anyway, I trolled around some more and it appears he is carrying only 3 listings….I wouldn’t exactly call that “white hot shit” in my book…..
The more I read about Karl (from his own pen by the way) the more he comes across as an ego maniacle baffoon…..

Yeah his one listing for the house in the photo on his blog, he’s had that one since before we were working with him. I think the price has been reduced repeatedly and yet still no sale.
But yeah the ego, huge he’s a real piece of work.
